Prompt: How would things go for Buffy and Spike if their conversation / Spike’s speech in "Touched" + Buffy’s profession of love in "Chosen" had happened earlier? Give Spike and Buffy a happily ever after that doesn’t end in a flamey death. 

Set in early S7 and canon through episode 7x05 "Selfless," which is where this story picks up. It then steers into a different direction, turning into a complete rewrite of S7, though some lines and plot elements will be borrowed from random canon S7 episodes and thrown into the mix.

There is no such thing as a Buffy birthday bash without some chaos and mayhem. As per tradition, her nineteenth birthday brings along some regularly scheduled drama, courtesy of Giles’s old friend and nemesis, Ethan Rayne.
The sorcerer has a special birthday gift for Buffy, one that she’s not happy to receive. More details in the Story Notes.

Written for the “2023 Spooky September” event at Sunnydale After Dark.

Musical demons with goatees can be awfully persuasive when it comes down to making kooky decisions like, say, smooching the face off your mortal enemy. Thankfully, the curtain has closed on that brief episode of insanity, and all Buffy has to do is… nothing, forget it ever happened and never see Spike again. Easy. 

Dawn‘s brief flirtation with musical theatre has got her wondering about the punkier sides of the Bronze‘s touring bands. Fortunately she‘s found an (un)willing chaperone for the excursion; all Dawn needs to do is… go to a gig and get home safely. Easy. 

Unfortunately for Dawn and Buffy, it‘s a Tuesday. 

Takes place after OMWF and swerves quickly off canon piste from there.
