Hi fellow Scoobies! I'm bruskiboo and I'm a relative newbie to the fandom. I totally missed out on BTVS when it was on the air and went many long years thinking of it as just some niche cult show. Except that I also kept seeing it appear on lists of best TV shows of all time, which got me more and more curious. The fateful turn came toward the end of 2019 when my friend shared her Hulu account with me (thanks, V!), I saw that Buffy was on it, and I decided it was finally time to see what all the fuss was about.

And after just one watch, I fell HARD for this show. One watch turned into three, which turned into needing to find a fan group on Facebook to join, which turned into finding out about Spuffy fanfiction, which turned into reading, and engaging, and getting ideas, and basically my continuing love and devotion for all things Spuffy. And wouldn't you know, I just so happened to fall head first into my first ever fandom experience right before the world stopped turning due to COVID - the perfect time to hunker down and embrace my new favorite escape!

So that's when I started writing, with the extra time and need for distraction while in deep quarantine. I'm still working on the story I started then (a long-form post-series fic), but after a long hiatus I'm finally getting back to it and hope to actually finish and post it someday. In the meantime, I got the itch to write a series of one-shots (my cookies redo series), and I've been saving all kinds of other story ideas that I would love to get to at a later time. We'll see!

As a writer, I assure you that I am all about the HEA/HFN - I came to Spuffy fic primarily to have the catharsis of seeing them get their happy ending and find ways of being together, and gosh darn it, that's what I'm gonna do! As a reader, I am open to all kinds of stories, with very few exceptions. And I'll read the same trope over and over as well as new and crazy things I would have never thought of - bring it on!
