Hello, friends!
A few months ago, you may remember we introduced our Fandom Links page. A resource we knew we wanted on that page was episode transcripts, which can be such a valuable tool, especially for fic writers. We reached out to this community and we hunted on our own, searching for a great transcript page to refer our members to, but we never found one that checked all our boxes.
So why not build our own?

This was a fairly ambitious undertaking— probably more ambitious than we realized at the time! A lot of incredible fans of the show have worked hard to transcribe these episodes, but the formatting was all different. Some transcripts were full of holes. The sites were dated, some only accessible through the Wayback Machine!
There was a lot to sort through to say the least.
What we have now, though, is a searchable transcript library, which can be filtered by Buffy or Angel episodes. You can search a specific line of dialogue if you’re not sure what episode it’s in. You can search a character’s name and see every episode in which it appears. Find out how many times the phrase “sod off” was used. The possibilities are endless!
The transcripts won’t be absolutely perfect. It was a tedious process combing through them. So if you do find any glaring errors in them, please let us know so we can correct them!
We’ve used a mix of source transcripts for these, sources which we found in so many different places credited to so many different transcribers that we aren’t entirely sure who made what and how to thank them for their selfless transcribing, but thank them we do.
And, of course, we thank our resident techromancer, D’Hoffryn, who makes all our website dreams come true.

You all are beyond words, but here's a few anyway; AWESOME, SPECTACULAR, and of course, BLOODY BRILLIANT! I search transcripts all the time to get lines of dialogue and now I can come right here. I'm also super excited to try out all of the search features, because sometimes a line of dialog pops into my head, but I can't place who said it or when. So, kudos to you all!

HOLY SMOKES!! What an incredible thing to have done and provided for us here!!!!! Wow, just wow. I actually thought at one point of trying to download from those sites into an accessible, searchable form, especially for things like searching through the entirety of the show. And here you went and did that and more. Now we can just come to THIS site to look for quotes, or answer a question about words used, or review a scene we've forgotten. And that is going to be SO SO useful for so many of us. I've already bookmarked the page. This is truly awesome and I give a huge hug of thanks to all those who put in the significant effort to make this happen.

Damn. That is a massive undertaking. Next time a big project like this comes along, please do not hesitate to reach out to me, I did transcription in my old job, and a whole lot of other things. Anyway, lovely job ladies. Congratulations. Kudos.
Ahh this is AMAZING!! And so informative; I have already used this to discover that Spike does not, in fact, say "bloody hell" until S4, and Giles in "Band Candy" is actually the first to use it. Lol. I anticipate many hours finding useful tidbits like this. Thank you guys so much!
