Hi! 

I’m Morgan, a 30 something year old lover of Spuffy. I’ve been writing fan fiction for maybe 15 years now? I fell in love with Spike and Buffy during my most recent rewatch in 2023 and I got inspired to write Cherry On Top which was my first Spuffy fanfic. Since then, I’ve written somewhere close to 20 fics, some of which are WIPs still. Others are shorter vignettes or one shots. I’ve mostly posted on EF but I’m in the process of bringing over my work to SAD.

Summary: Based off of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Shadow, this Spuffified version takes us back in time to a kingdom where we meet a down on his luck version of William Pratt who is given the chance to rid himself of what he is told is the reason for his bad luck so far in life. When he realizes he’s been played, we follow the man who will do anything he can to make himself whole again for the woman he loves. 
If you’re familiar with this fairy tale, it’s an odd one. I searched for obscure fairy tales for inspiration for this event and I’d say the one I chose definitely ticks all the boxes. In my version, we have softer versions of Spike and Buffy. I like to think they’re close to the S7 version of the characters, whereas Buffy is the most confident and Spike still needs his boost. The story does take place in a fictional continent and features human versions of everyone as it didn’t make much sense to me to include their supernatural abilities in this version.
