Well, look at skin-of-my-teeth girl over here, offering up my little meditation on grief for the September site event! With over two hours left of September here on the East Coast!

This was inspired by some recent meditations on grief after recently getting hit with a wave of it for someone I lost several years ago. I think it would be in character for Buffy to think that grief was a box you checked then moved on, only to have night in one town evoke night in another town and all the memories associated with it. More specifically, this is inspired by VeroNykK84's GORGEOUS illustration that I can't get out of my mind. I hope she doesn't mind. xoxo

Not beta'd and this kind of just poured out of me over the course of a couple free hours today so it's probably a bit rough, but it almost made me cry while I was writing it so I figured it might tug a heartstring or two.
