Story Notes: So I was surprised at the response I got to With Grit and Pain, and already kinda had this idea rotating in my brain so...I wrote a follow up piece. Read With Grit and Pain first, otherwise this probably won't make much sense.
This is set between S4 and S5.
There's a fair amount of Riley in this. I like Riley. There's technically background Buffy/Riley in this as well. I don't mind Briley. There's not really any overly romantic stuff between them, though. There's some mentions of Angel in this too, I like Angel. All this is to say: I write all of these ships and characters sympathetically. You have been warned.
