Summary: A series of four fics that begin much darker than I usually go. The very first scene was written a long time before I had a story to go with it. It was just something I wanted to try, then I needed a fic for the Good/Evil community on LJ, so it turned into a whole story that ended much too sadly. So it got a sequel, and that got a sequel, and... yeah. There it was. A whole series of steadily Spuffier stories evolved from the original non-Spuffy dark story. Except for the sexual situations, the warnings only apply to the first story, but there are warnings to be heeded.

Summary: The characters for this round (at the Good/Evil LJ community) were Good Giles and/or Evil Ethan. Couldn’t decide, so I did a bit of both. Since the original beginning was scribbled out almost a year before it actually grew into a fic, and since it was intended as a Spuffy fic, those victims of their own UST will figure almost as prominently in this fic as they usually do in my stories; but this time they will be reluctant partners and will be going up against an evil and vengeful Ethan Rayne. Buffy will be rescued (because, all-in-all, they aren’t doing very well against the sorcerer and his evil accomplices) by a Watcher who must reach back into his past for the tools he needs to save his Slayer. Many thanks to my beta, Always_jbj who worked hard with me to see that there were no contradictions or lapses in logic as I worked out some of these scenes, as well as providing constant encouragement for my first attempt at writing a dark fic.

This fic is the first in series of four steadily less angsty and Spuffier stories. The others are : Love Awakened, Love Continued, and Love Sanctioned.

Summary: Summary: This is a sequel to another shortish story in which Angelus and Dru are both dusted, and Spike is still crippled. Buffy had been badly abused by the vampires at the behest of Ethan Rayne, who has been defeated by Giles and taken away to be punished. It picks up as Buffy arrives home after her ordeal. She is, understandably, traumatized by her ordeal and goes to someone unexpected for solace. This is the second in a series of four steadily Spuffier stories. The next two are Love Continued and Love Sanctioned. The original (first) story was Loves Lost.

Summary: Summary: the fourth and last in the series that began with Loves Lost. Spike has moved to LA and tried to build a life that doesn’t include killing to eat. Faith has arrived in Sunnydale and the Mayor is on the move. Playing a bit fast and loose with canon timelines, as Faith’s watcher is arriving after Buffy’s birthday, rather than before – it just worked out better for this fic. I guess, basically, I’ve given the year a few more than the usual twelve months. LOL
