Ethan's Revenge (or author's choice) by Jws1993

Categories: Season 7, Season 5, Season 6
Characters: Buffy, Spike, Ensemble, Ethan Rayne, Giles
Summary:

So, after the Initiative take Ethan away, he's never seen again. What if the Initiative did something nefarious? Say, turned him into an Adam-esque creature? A human, demon, and machine hybrid?

What if he was trapped in a other unknown secret area of the Initiative, and when the back up power finally gives out, he's free? How will Buffy and Giles handle him when he returns for revenge on those responsible?

Because of his abilities the Initiative don't see him as human, either. It's pretty much a given they know nothing of the supernatural. So, they don't feel bad cutting him up.

This idea can basically take place in season 5, 6, or 7. How did Ethan keep a piece of his humanity? If Riley's there, does Ethan kill him for his part in the Initiative?

The only requirements are Happy ever after for Spuffy, and Ethan still being a sorcerer/keeping his memories in his new form.

Summary: Life was changing really fast. Buffy was a mom now, Spike was the love of her life, and Dawn was still a total nuisance. After an encounter with the Dracula, Buffy is reflecting on what it really means to be a Slayer, especially now that she has demon allies and loved ones.
Her deep thoughts are interrupted when her former enemy gets a massive upgrade and teams up with a Hellgod to turn Sunnydale into a hellscape.
Now, she’s tasked with protecting her younger sister from her destiny as the keys to Hell’s gates and helping her mother through a mysterious illness. She’s also got Spike, who’s just as determined to keep their family safe.
Sequel to Twice Broken, Thrice Burnt.
