Oh I'm so excited to read the last chapter, Ginger! It's been such a great ride. And I'm with you on that needing all the fic time and real life just not cooperating!

Finally put my 1st SAD-exclusive fic to bed. It will remain exclusive until I get around to posting it anywhere else - anytime from about a week to six months from now due to my unforunate reliance on food and shelter that necessitates gainful employment. If only I could make due with a crypt.

Kent I think because it was in the bracelet that broke that Buffy found.

In the sacrifice one -- where Buffy got roofied by the college guys worshipping the demon -- that was not UCSD and it also mentioned an nearby HS, but I can't remember the names of anything these days, so yeah. Gotta google it I guess

Oxnard is a city located in Santa Barbara County, and that's where Xander got stuck
September 24, 2022 09:37pm

Slaymesoftly
There's the one Xander stayed at over the summer - Oxnard (which is, I think, a real place?) And I think they talked about one where they could hide from Glory, but I don't remember it.

Were there rival schools when they were in high school and college?
September 24, 2022 09:07pm

Hmmm...I don't know towns around Sunnydale. There have to be some...though Chosen makes it seem like Sunnydale is in the middle of nowhere. lol
September 24, 2022 09:07pm

Niamh
trivia question -- does anyone know the names of the towns surrounding Sunnydale?
September 24, 2022 07:54pm

Niamh
I'd rather be the one shagging the vampire and I don't think I would mind being a slayer
September 24, 2022 07:41pm

Magnus374
That's what it was called, I do have problem remembering the name of stories and who wrote it. It's probably the downside of reading as much as I do🙂

Yes!! The Vespertine Stars. smile

sandy_s. Was it the one that was taking place in a future and Katherine (pfeipherpack ) and I was some kind of celebrity vampires?
September 24, 2022 07:18am

sandy_s
Magnus, you are a vampire in one of my fics! eyebrow
September 23, 2022 06:47pm

Magnus374
Well, I can't be a Slayer since I'm a man and I don't really care for being out in the sun much so vampire it is🧛‍♂️

Like Slayme, I'm already old. Powerful seems particularly attractive right now. wink
September 23, 2022 03:22pm

Dusty
Being the slayer has never looked particularly fun to me. When Anya tells Buffy in S7 that she's just luckier than the rest of them I kind of want to smack her? Buffy's life is so hard. All the time.
September 23, 2022 02:36pm

Slaymesoftly
Hmmmmm That's actually a hard one, Grief Counseling. I'd like to think I'm good enough to be a slayer, but old and powerful has a lot of appeal. (Already 1/2 way there - LOL)
September 23, 2022 01:21pm

Grief Counseling
would you rather be a powerful, decades-old vampire or the slayer with a short life expectancy? vamp stake
September 23, 2022 12:02pm

Dusty...love that one as well! smile
September 22, 2022 07:47pm

SlayrGrl, I love that one, too!

Dusty
Tons. "I wanna save the world." rebel
September 22, 2022 07:06pm

SlayrGrl
There's actually a lot of unintentional foreshadowing in the show, ie Xander with his pirate costume and eye-patch. Wrong eye, but still. I love that.
September 22, 2022 06:25pm

Slaymesoftly
Talk about unintentional foreshadowing! I love that line.
