Summary: Follows "P.S. You Suck" where Buffy and Spike have a truce and communicate mostly by mail, and "Friendly Enemies" in which he warns her about her Cruciamentum and shows up to make sure it goes well. By the time of this story, they've become friends who communicate by mail and, less often, phone. Joyce trusts Spike to watch Buffy's back, so when she thinks there's a problem, she makes a call... This is a pretty AU Sunnydale by now, so canon comes and goes as needed.
