Story Notes: So. I was never very happy with this story, and I never thought I'd be coming back to it. But as I decided to work my way up from the bottom, alphabetically, of my Spuffy work when moving it to this archive (in order to avoid having to start with A Spark of Love, my longest work in the fandom), I found myself stuck between leaving this one behind or turning it into something I'm happier with. My biggest issues were the pacing, the Willow-only POV, and the ending (which was a little bit of a consequence of the former two issues), so I combined some chapters, decided to integrate the other POV oneshots as interludes, and wrote an all-new epilogue from another character's point of view - one who didn't get to have a voice during this whole debacle. Is this my favorite story I've written? No, and it probably wouldn't ever be if I spent a year reworking it, but I'm a lot happier with it and I hope you also enjoy the all-new version debuting here on SAD.
