This takes place between the end of season 5 and beginning of season 6, following a battle with Glory that did not end in Buffy’s dying. Glory is defeated, Dawn is saved, Spike killed Doc, Giles killed Ben. Buffy is still dealing with the death of Joyce and the subsequent money problems, but overall this is a much happier, easier time for our heroine. Everything up until the final scenes on the tower with Spike, Dawn and Doc is canon.

At least to begin with, I'm aiming for shorter snappy chapters than I have been writing to date, so I hope that works well. As yet I don't know how where I'll go with this story, but the general vibe is trademark Spuffy snark and flirting, a one-bed trope, and background peril. Will update warnings as I go, but opting for a safe 'R' for now.
