Summary: Aphantasia: the inability to form mental images of objects that are not present.
Sunnydale is getting a shake-up. A new cop just rolled into town, Buffy's boyfriend left her, and, oh yeah, a predominantly demon-run business has been taken over by a human.
And not just any human either.
When Buffy and Giles are forced into a situation where they must protect the ones they maybe love, it turns out their newest enemy-former serial killer and current dream demon Freddy Krueger-has a history with Doctor Nancy Thompson, a psychology professor who singlehandedly defeated him on her own. And she's ready to do it again, no matter what it takes.
If only Ethan hadn't cast that stupid curse again and made it so any witch they knew was now their costume. Great.

In response to a challenge created by the wonderful Holly in the spirit of Halloween, I present... a fic answering the Spirit Halloween challenge. Anyways, Ethan is back! And he's now the CEO of Spirit Halloween, ready to cast the curse he cast on that fateful Halloween again.
Requirements:
Spuffy HEA -- or they can be established. I don't care, as long as they're happy and together in the end.
No Spuffy/other, while we're at it
No baby/kid fic. Other characters can have kids, but if Spuffy is established, they are living and loving the childfree life
No Saint Spuffy
No egregious Scooby bashing
We also have some homoerotic subtext between Freddy and Ethan, and, of course, Nancy and Giles' romance, which has been a blast for me to write. Now, we are going in a linear timeline, so Nancy was born in 1965 and the plot of the first Nightmare movie takes place in 82. So, Nancy is about 34 or 35 when our fic takes place. Her father is in his fifties and still alive/kicking! And this is about time I should mention that you only need to know first movie lore to understand things, and even then, there are a few exposition dumps as we go along.
What are we waiting for? Let's go!
But of course, we can't start before I thank my wonderful beta reader, mcgnagallsarmy. Thank you so much for helping my story be more cohesive! And that banner by the amazing Irandamay. Like... look at it! It's amazing!
