After escaping his fate of being traded as poker currency, a clever black kitten becomes a part-time resident in Spike’s crypt and an unwilling witness to the vampire’s messy relationship with Buffy. 

Since they clearly need a big nudge in the right direction, the cat decides to take matters into his own paws. 
Set in S6, sometime during the time frame including eps. from 6x05 “Life Serial” to 6x12 “Doublemeat Palace” plus some time after that. Prequel/sequel to “Welcome Home” but it can be read as a standalone.
